MIDAS FALL - Exclusive Premiere Of New Single

Scottish atmospheric/gothic/post-prog rock female duo Midas Fall is now unveiling the new single, "Dust And Bone". The single is taken from the upcoming album entitled Evaporate, which is already the fourth full-lenght for Midas Fall and will be released worldwide by Monotreme Records on 27th April. Evaporate shimmers with a dark, gothic grace, delicate and brutal in equal measure – from the desperate, savage cacophony of "Bruise Pusher" to the elegant ascension of "Sword To Shield" - it smoothly conjures stunning soundscapes at every turn. Midas Fall recorded their fourth album in Argyll, Scotland, and it was recorded, mixed and mastered by Elizabeth Heaton. The artwork of Evaporate is done by Ásgeir Helgi Prastarson.

The utterly beautiful and evocative "Dust And Bone" ratchets up the tension with dark, ominous drones paired with shards of dischordant melodies and Elizabeth Heaton's quietly unsettling vocals, rising to a jarring, impassioned climax that reflects the track's themes of inner turmoil. It's a subtle, highly atmospheric, emotional and hauntingly immersive song and you should take some of your time and click the play button in the player below, you might find in Midas Fall a new soundtrack of your life!

Midas Fall is Elizabeth Heaton and Rowan Burn. They released the debut album, Eleven. Return and Revert, in 2010, garnering numerous glowing reviews comparing them to the likes of Portishead and Explosions In The Sky. Then in April 2013 Midas Fall released their second album, Wilderness, which they followed up with the release of 3-track EP Fluorescent Lights, and a full UK and European tour. The band shared the stage with Chvrches, Deaf Havana, Her Name Is Calla and Sleepmakeswaves, in addition to headlining a show at the Norwich Sound and Vision festival. In September 2015 Midas Fall released their third album, The Menagerie Inside through Monotreme Records, followed by a month-long European tour later in the year with Canadian musician Raised by Swans. The album, mastered by Ed Brooks (Pearl Jam, Death Cab For Cutie, Caspian), received excellent press around the world.

Combining elements of electronica, post-rock and alternative rock with progressive and gothic undertones, Scottish duo Midas Fall have carved a distinctive and captivating sound, creating taut, shimmering soundscapes led by the hauntingly melancholic vocals of Elizabeth Heaton. Midas Fall create deeply beautiful, magical, atmospheric yet radiant dark music which is extremely emotive and vivid. Midas Fall will tour the UK in May 2018 and Europe in autumn 2018.
