PETER MURPHY - Arrested For Alleged Hit And Run, Possession Of Methamphetamines

Frontman of British goth legends Bauhaus Peter Murphy was arrested this weekend after allegedly rear- ending a car in Glendale and fleeing to Los Angeles, as reported by the Glendale News Press. The driver from the car he hit was injured and an eyewitness followed him because he was afraid that Peter would kill someone with his driving. When Murphy was arrested in Los Angeles, he appeared "very confused" and couldn't tell the date or time, according to the Glendale News Press. He claimed he hadn't been drinking, he said he'd only taken his prescription depression medication and was jet-lagged, but police officers report finding a small bag of drugs, possibly methamphetamine, on him. He denied it belonged to him.
Murphy is still in custody, with bail set at $500,000, on charges of "causing injuries while driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, felony hit-and-run, and possession of methamphetamine." More detailed report could be found HERE. We hope that this accident wouldn't hurt his upcoming world tour The Mr. Moonlight Tour, celebrating 35 years of Bauhaus and performing only Bauhaus material (check the dates on Bauhaus official site).  Link
