ANAGNORISIS - Sophomore Album Details Revealed

Louisville's (USA) black metallers Anagnorisis will release their long awaited sophomore album on 23rd July as a self-release. This will be bands first full lenght release after their debut Overton Trees, which was released back in 2007 and two EP's, one released in 2009 and the other in 2012. New album is entitled Beyond All Light. Based on a Greek phrase for "discovery", Anagnorisis was founded in 2003 by Austin Lunn (Panopticon), and the act set out to experiment with merging symphonic and death-infused black metal styles. Beyond All Light, was meticulously recorded by the band and mixed by guitarist Zak Denham and his One by One Studios, and then mastered by Brian Lueken at Decibel Mastering. The two-part LP is broken into two segments, each act featuring three massive songs overall encompassing nearly fifty minutes. The band’s already classically-influenced but forward-thinking approach to black metal ventures into new territories, and while skeletal elements of their earlier material shrouds the material, more orchestral and atmospheric elements penetrate the band’s wickedest, blazing attacks ever. While comparisons to notable bands like Nachtmystium, Emperor, Summoning and Drudkh can be made, Anagnorisis weave their own unique visions and configurations into their songcraft, creating a wholly engaging, epic atmosphere. Below you can watch a glimpse of what should be a multi-part documentary trailer "behind the scenes of Beyond All Light" and at this location you can listen to recently unveiled track "Eulerian Path". Beyond All Light will be released in various editions, initially as a CD and digital download and later also on tape and vinyl edition. In the coming weeks the band will also do some live appearances, check the dates at the provided link. Link
