ATTRITION - To Release A Collection Of Rare Tracks

Pioneers of dark electronic music Attrition, who were formed back in 1980 in Coventry (UK) will release on 14th February a collection of the rarest Attrition songs from their earliest years. Collection is entitled Demonstro : 1982 - 85 and it will contain previously unreleased tracks, demos and alternate versions. On it are so many experiments with analogue synths, drum machines, tape loop, bass guitar and effects. Many of these tracks were previously released on cassette compilations and two of them on bands very first vinyl release, a two track flexi disc with Adventures which was in reality a fanzine released in 1982. But, on Demonstro : 1982 - 85, there are a lot of tracks that were never officially released back then because they just never found a home at that time.
Attrition's founder Martin Bowes commented: "For the last 30 years i have been carrying boxes of those cassettes around with me as I travelled around the UK, and Holland briefly... I've spent a lot of time selecting the best and cleaning them up in my studio from the old cassette mixes, and in some cases from the original 4 track tapes... It's time to put these to bed.... I hope you enjoy this little slice of our life...." Demonstro : 1982 – 85 will be available on 14th February on CD and as a digital download. You can already give it a listen in the Bandcamp player below. Link
