The Norwegian industrial/electro masters Mortiis recently released a remix album named The Great Corrupter, featuring 28 remixes of tracks from Mortiis's last album The Great Deceiver. The last single from the album is a remix of the track "Sins Of Mine" done by Norwegian chameleons of dark electronic music Apoptygma Berzerk. Stephan Groth, the mastermind behind Apoptygma Berzerk did put a synthpop spin on the track and made it very interesting, catchy and way more accesible. Mortiis commented: "When I made that track, it was this semi-dissonant, somber piece about hopelessness and just giving up and letting past guilts and crimes wash over me and undo me, just make me disappear. So it was really dark. Stephan twisted it around to become this way more accessible, yet very uncommercial song, still about the darkness that follows guilt. Those wonderful feelings were kept intact.” Listen to Apoptygma Berzerk's remix of "Sins Of Mine" in the player below and order the great collection of remixes, The Great Corrupter, at this location.
