Italian black metal act Ad Omega has released its sophomore full-length, Aphelic Ascent, via Drakkar Productions.

Ad Omega's new album is centred on concepts related to anti-cosmic satanist linked to Chaos-Gnosticism; the eschatological end of times within western and eastern traditions (Pralaya); the thought of Nitzsche, Frank Giano Ripel and Austian Osman Spare.

Aphelic Ascent encloses eight ritualistic hymns, aiming to reconnect with the most destructive and instinctual energies - to enforce the deification of the self and ascend to states of consciousness beyond all laws.

Violent, obscure and triumphant: Aphelic Ascent is the manifesto of what the band has been able to develop through the years: extreme and dissonant black metal, well balanced by wide dilated and sulphurous passages that reveal industrial-ambient suggestions.
