Wales (UK) based dungeon synth act Gwenwyn ("poison" in Welsh), has just released the debut album entitled The Hexing Jar. The Hexing Jar is a dungeon synth album with the art of poisons as its main theme. Its nine tracks invite the listener to enter the botanical laboratory of a witch. In her sound cauldron, analogue synthesizer was mixed with computer music and background noise. The result is a sort of neoclassical gothic ambient where fantasy reconnects with the roots of the genre whose twisted chords fuelled the fire. As a small dose of venom can sometimes serve as an antidote, let yourself be tempted by this conceptual musical excursion.

Gwenwyn is a project by black metal artist Asenath Blake, who comments: "I am the witch you met once in the forest of dreams, remember?" The entire album is available for streaming and you can give it a listen right below. Link
