TODTGELICHTER - Unveils New Details Of The Upcoming Album

  • Print

German extreme avantgarde metallers Todtgelichter will release their new album entitled Rooms at the end of the year. The band will enter the studio in about a week and in the beginning of June they will present a little studio report. Rooms is Todtgelichter's fifth full-lenght and will be a successor to their 2013's controversial album Apnoe. Since then the line-up has changed a lot and the members who'll perform on the new album are: Marta (vocals, screams), Frederic (guitars, backing vocals, arrangements), Floris (guitars), Guntram (bass guitar), Frieder (organs, synths, programming) and Tentakel P. (drums, programming). The band commented about the new album: "The fifth album will be called Rooms. It will deal with old memories, ghosts of the past and losses and changes in general. Rooms – once the essence, the soul of a person living in it is gone from it, you cannot go back. The change is permanent, the room changed forever. Thus it stands for a certain nostalgia, for lost loved ones, for moving forward while keeping the past alive in your mind – the only place where you can visit a particular person's room again until it fades away completely."
