Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM) proudly welcomes acclaimed singer, songwriter, and multi‑instrumentalist A.A. Williams to its roster, marking a powerful new chapter in her artistic evolution. Known for blending haunting melody with a distinctly heavy edge, Williams inaugurates the partnership with her new single “Just A Shadow” — a work of stark intimacy and emotional gravity. The release is accompanied by a striking animated video created by visionary artist Costin Chioreanu.
RPM co‑founder Gerardo Martinez celebrates the collaboration: "A.A. Williams is one of the most compelling voices in contemporary music. She is unafraid to explore vulnerability with a rare poetic depth. We’re honored to welcome her to the RPM family, and ‘Just A Shadow’ is a stunning introduction to what we’ll build together."
The single arrives ahead of Williams’ highly anticipated 2026 UK and EU tour, which begins on 27 January 2026 in Norwich and runs through 7 March 2026, offering audiences across Europe the chance to experience her immersive world live.
Williams’ rise has been marked by standout festival appearances and two critically acclaimed albums — Forever Blue (2020) and As The Moon Rests (2022) — which positioned her firmly among the wave of female vocalists reshaping textured, epic, and folk‑rooted heavy music. A celebrated BBC Maida Vale session further cemented her reputation as one of the most compelling voices of her generation.
Never content to stand still, Williams has also explored a series of companion works: a collaborative single with Japanese post‑rock titans Mono (“Exit In Darkness”); the lockdown covers collection Songs From Isolation, praised by Robert Smith of The Cure and Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins; and perhaps most impressively, arco (2021), which saw her reimagine her debut EP with a string ensemble, showcasing her classical training and arrangement skills to stunning effect.
