Predominantly an industrial metal act, Febrvvm, has self-released the soundtrack to Space Is Red, blending dark ambient textures with harsh industrial sonics.
The game unfolds aboard a Soviet starship in an alternate future where the USSR endures, locked in a relentless struggle with the United States for supremacy in space. Following a hyperspace jump to escape an ambush, the crew finds themselves orbiting a mysterious planet in a scarcely charted sector of the galaxy. As unsettling phenomena occur, suspicion mounts that a traitor may be among them.
Visually, Space Is Red adopts the stark aesthetic of a black-and-white comic, drawing heavily on retro-horror manga. Players can expect multiple endings, detective-style investigation, countless deaths, and—inevitably—an alien presence.
Space Is Red is a radical reimagining of Красный космос (Red Space), the first Russian full-length visual novel, originally released in 2007. Link
