German one-man project Happy In Decay has presented the first track, "A World Where I Don't Exist", from its upcoming EP, The Doll, scheduled for release on 11 July.

The Doll is a more thoughtful follow-up to the first single, "God Hates Us". The concept EP approaches the topic of abuse and violence, blending industrial/gothic rock/metal. Heavy guitars and bass, combined with ethereal synths, drum machines, experimental vocals, and obscure samples, evoke a dark atmosphere. The uncompromising sound - not interested in digestibility but in creating the complementary setting for the tale. Following a path of self-hatred and isolation, the protagonist seeks retribution. Lost in an inner wasteland, dealing with the devastation, trying to stick the pieces back together before despair and darkness embrace. The last straw is violence, only to be left in the dark after the deed is done. Nothing changes - only innocence is lost – and memories that will not fade.

Happy In Decay delivers raw, 100% human-made industrial metal/rock blended with elements of darkwave, gothic rock, and trip-hop. Nihilistic, portraying the harsh side of humankind – the cruellest of all animals – alienated, in a godless world full of hate. Digital noise, cold synths, and distorted guitars paint a picture of a fragile and broken world, falling apart minute by minute. Link
