Swedish gothic rock conjurers Scheitan return with a brand new single and video, “A Million Days”, offering another shadow‑drenched glimpse into the band’s ongoing creative resurgence. The track is the first revealed from their forthcoming — and still untitled — new album, currently taking shape with a projected release in 2027.
“A Million Days” finds Scheitan deepening their signature blend of melodic melancholy and introspective weight. Lyrically, the song traces a solitary passage through “a thousand fires” and “a thousand battles”, circling themes of endurance, inner turmoil, and the slow suffocation of “dead desires”. Its refrain, heavy with emotional isolation, paints the image of a soul drifting further into its own depths.
Band founder Pierre Törnkvist shared insight into the band’s unusually swift return to writing mode: “I immediately started working on new songs after we released the last album. There are already ideas for about four or five songs, and I guess we will have another album ready in about 12 months if everything works out as with the previous two albums.”
Alongside the new single, Scheitan recently unveiled a video for “Every Little Thing”, taken from their latest full‑length Wine For A Tormented Soul, released in December 2025 via The Circle Music. Those who missed its premiere can still revisit the video and immerse themselves in the album’s sombre elegance over HERE.
With “A Million Days”, Scheitan continue to carve their path through the darker corridors of gothic rock — steady, reflective, and unafraid to stare directly into the quiet ache of the human condition. Link
