The Swiss, French and Swedish musical collaboration Mils, a band that enthused the alternative rock/metal scene with their debut album, Man Is A Lonely Soldier, which was released in November 2013 through Dooweet Records, is now back with a new single and video - "Come Home". Just a day before its official release Terra Relicta Webmagazine offers you an exclusive pre-release premiere of it. Watch the video and listen below to this extremely catchy and fastastic new track.
Video was directed by Arnaud Sintès (also lead singer for Mist Of Dead End) and is featuring Mils's new singer Mélodie Pastor. The track was recorded in Downtone Studio (Switzerland) with producer Drop (Sybreed, MXD).
The topic of the song is about the "return to senses", symbolised by home. Headlong rush means destruction, the home is a safe place where reason is protective. Joséphine Lindgren, who's the author of lyrics explained the meaning: "Action gives man energy and wings, like an addiction to an euphoric state of mind. But when catching up with time and running into the future become an escape from the past, the wings start to brake. The white swan turns black. Come home is a desperate call to a lost soul, sliding into madness."
"Come Home" is the first track of the band with the new singer Mélodie Pastor, who joined the band in September 2014. The song is also the first unveiled stuff from Mils's forthcoming, yet untitled EP, the release date is as well not set at this time. The band is focusing on live performances from now on, couple of gigs are already scheduled in France, and we believe that once the promoters will hear the new track a lot more will be on the list.
The band was formed in Montpellier (France) in 2008 by three composers, Olivier Denjean, Tristan Milian and Josephine Lindgren, the group traces its inspiration to several genres: heavy metal, electronic, pop, blues, gothic and atmospheric music. The result is a music that is characteristically introspective, contemplative and epic, so that each Mils title provides a contrasting universe. This range and variety of moods is a result of blending the work of musicians whose prime influences should, in theory, conflict. In 2015 Mils present themselves with a renowned line-up and the members are: Mélodie Pastor (vocals), Tristan Milian (guitar), Jack Tronquet (synths), Ben Marmier (drums) and Joséphine Lindgren (lyrics).
