2. Valkiria - Here The Day Comes                                        25 votes
3. Tiamat - The Scarred People                                            24 votes
4. Enslaved - RIITIIR                                                              22 votes
5. Cradle Of Filth - The Manticore And Other Horrors       12 votes
6. Lacrimosa - Revolution                                                     12 votes

Cradle Of Filth - The Manticore And Other Horrors: What more to say about this British masters of extreme gothic metal that hasn't been said before? This album can easily cope with their most praised albums like  Nymphetamine for example. Cradle Of Filth are back in all their glory! Link: Website

Enslaved - RIITIIR: Another masterpiece from those Norway based premium progressive black metallers. A bit more difficult, even more progressive and complex than their ultimate previous masterwork Axioma Ethica Odini, but still one hell of an album. One of the best extreme metal albums of the year 2012, absolutely! Link: Website

Lacrimosa - Revolution: Masters of gothic Lacrimosa are back with their eleventh studio album. Revolution is not an easy listen, it needs to be devoted into it and only then it offers amazing sonic experience. This album also shows kind of revolution in Lacrimosa's sound, as it is much heavier than last few albums of theirs. Read a review HERE. Link: Website

My Dying Bride - A Map Of All Our Failures: Gloom & doom like we are used from legends My Dying Bride. Epic soundscapes of sorrow and pain, darkness and beauty. The band proves once again that they haven't lost their touch after strange ambiental Evinta. Link: Website

Tiamat - The Scarred People: One of the most anticipated albums of 2012. It was worth waiting for this one. In its core this is one of the darkest Tiamat albums, but paradoxically also the one that holds huge amount of positive power. Atmospheric gothic rock and doom metal at its best! Read a review HERE. Link: Website

Valkiria - Here The Day Comes: Black metal, gothic and doom metal marvelous mixture. Such an outstanding musicianship cannot be missed and beside The Foreshadowing they should take the leading role in  Italian dark music spectrum. It would really be a disgrace to miss this dark gem.
