Seventeen protracted years after their last fantastic full lenght, Strange In Stereo, the Norwegian legend In The Woods... rise from its own ashes to deliver a stunningly focused new record soberly entitled, Pure. The upcoming long awaited album combines elements that made early In The Woods... such majestic compositions, with a new-found immediacy and energy. Taking inspiration from the legendary metal and rock bands from the 70s to the 90s, the avantgarde masters created a collection of 10 huge-sounding, all-enveloping cosmic tales.
About this eagerly awaited new offering the band comments: "This is without a doubt the most accessible release by In The Woods... yet. Lyrically, existential and philosophical themes are at the fore; Elements of psychedelia, alienation and loss interweave, leaving the listener in no doubt that In The Woods... seek to advance their own understanding of the esoteric and transcendental, if were it not already obvious to the listener through the music."
The artwork for this gem was crafted by Max Winter from Teratogen and the front cover is viewable below. The CD version will come with a slightly different cover. Pure is scheduled for release worldwide on 16th September 2016 via Debemur Morti Productions on CD, vinyl and in digital formats. Tracklist and cover artwork are below.
