Formed in 2005, A Shoreline Dream remains the creative partnership of Ryan Policky and Erik Jeffries, whose work merges shoegaze, psychedelia, post‑punk, and widescreen guitar experimentation. Policky describes the new single as a return to their earliest impulses: “All my favorite sounds combined into one memory of our sound… I love goth, darkwave, huge walls of sound — why not hit them all at once?”
“20” follows “Legacy”, another reflection on the choices and sacrifices behind one of Colorado’s longest‑running independent projects — a sludging, bass‑driven piece about the milestones missed and the rewards earned along the way.
Rather than slowing down in their anniversary year, A Shoreline Dream have committed to releasing singles monthly while completing Waiting, their second full‑length of 2026, featuring nine tracks. This prolific period follows a significant collaboration with Ride frontman Mark Gardener, resulting in five co‑produced songs and deepening the band’s long‑standing ties to the UK shoegaze community.
