Cinematic symphonic metal collective Catalyst Crime have revealed the "Acquired Immunity" video single, bringing a striking visual dimension to one of their most intense and genre-defying tracks to date.
"Acquired Immunity" marks a turning point in the band's evolving sound, showcasing a heavier, more aggressive and experimental direction.
Driven by the complementary compositional forces of guitarist Kaelen Sarakinis and keyboardist Jonah Weingarten, the track stands as one of Catalyst Crime's most powerful statements so far.
Blistering melodeath-infused verses collide with cinematic orchestration and soaring vocal lines, while a scorching guest guitar solo by Marek "Ashok" Šmerda (ex-Cradle Of Filth, ex-Root) elevates the song into epic territory.
Frontwoman Zoe Marie Federoff describes "Acquired Immunity" as a defining moment for the band - a bold step into deeper complexity while fully embracing their identity as cinematic metal.
The accompanying video further amplifies the track's dark symbolism and dramatic intensity, translating its themes into a powerful visual narrative.
With "Acquired Immunity", Catalyst Crime continue to push the boundaries of their sound, blending orchestral grandeur, metallic precision and fearless experimentation into a compelling and immersive experience.
With the Acquired Immunity album set for release on 2 October, Catalyst Crime promise a record that expands upon the emotional storytelling of "Cursebreaker" and the aggressive edge of "Acquired Immunity", blending orchestral grandeur, metallic precision and fearless experimentation into their most ambitious work to date.
