The Los Angeles (USA)-based darkwave/synthpop artist Cuffed has teamed up with Russian genre-bender Noangelss for the release of their first collaborative single, "Imposter". The single is out now via Dune Altar. Cuffed's collaboration with Noangelss developed naturally in a digital space, where they exchanged raw emotions and shared secrets through audio files and Zoom calls to create "Imposter". Despite the distance, their virtual studio allowed them to craft a striking blend of sounds that pull you into their world - a balance of raw emotion and captivating rhythm.
The brainchild of musical polymath Tyler "Fournames" Fortney, Cuffed is a project crafted to defy conformity while paying tribute to the soundtrack of his youth. Diving deep into a realm of his own creation, the lifelong Angeleno combines elements of Depeche Mode, Killing Joke and The Sisters Of Mercy, processing these lifelong influences through his own lifetime of creation and sonic exploration.
Russian-born, but internet-raised, Noangelss is crafting her own world through sound and poetry, addressing timeless questions about purpose, love, and overcoming fear. With genre-bending, heavy vocals, and vibrant storytelling, Noangelss first made her mark with a series of singles and the album Gobbler, featuring the dreamy closing track, "The Gatherer And The Gander", produced by Blackawasaki. Her music is a complex orchestra of harsh, booming sounds intertwined with a velvety yet sharp voice, layered with intricate details. Link
