Australia's new formation, Desolate Symphony, has served a debut single and video, "Death's Shadow". The track embodies the band's signature blend of operatic vocals, symphonic metal, and tribal rhythms, creating haunting and exhilarating soundscapes. With chilling female-led vocals and a powerful arrangement, this release marks a significant milestone in Desolate Symphony's journey, showcasing its unique artistry and dynamic sound. Get ready to be swept away in the shadows as Desolate Symphony prepares to redefine the landscape of heavy music.
Vocalist Nur NH comments: "This band is my second family, I have put so much energy and emotion into this music and this song tells a story that means a lot to me".
Drummer Tom adds: "Desolate Symphony is on a mission to create music that resonates with our audience as much as it does ourselves. I am very much looking forward to what the future holds for us".
Guitarist Damian comments about the project and single: "Desolate Symphony has been a chance for me to truly immerse myself in a project that encourages creative freedom. While there's a specific theme to the music, the way we achieve that collectively through our individual strengths is producing results that I am proud to be a part of. Our first song 'Death's Shadow', represents the start of a long journey that we are looking forward to sharing with audiences through our music".
Harry, the bassist, says: "Desolate Symphony has been such a freeing and refreshing experience to just unleash all my creative energy alongside a group of like-minded people who have all been a pleasure to be accepted by. 'Death's Shadow' has just been amazing to work on. Elements of each member shine through on subsequent re-listens, each time you find little characteristics of each member shining through".
Desolate Symphony is an exhilarating fusion of operatic and symphonic heavy metal that has taken the music scene by storm. Founded in 2022 by visionary lead singer Nur NH under the name Symph, the band underwent several line-up transformations before solidifying its identity as Desolate Symphony in 2023 with the addition of guitarist Damian Gatte. In 2024, the band welcomed Harry Steele, who initially joined as a guitarist but soon found his true passion as the bassist, bringing a new depth to the band's sound. Drummer Tommy Dee completed the line-up the same year, solidifying the ensemble into a formidable force. Desolate Symphony is poised to make a significant impact on the music world. Join them on their journey as they craft haunting melodies and powerful anthems that challenge the boundaries of metal and orchestral music. Link
