Finnish melodic black/death metal act i Helvete have revealed "Päätösmatka", the third and final advance track from their forthcoming full-length Halla, slated for release on 6 November. The new composition expands the group's sonic palette with the inclusion of violin, piano and vibraphone, while a powerful choir adds further depth to the song's sweeping choruses.

The band on the album: "Halla is a theme album about old times when surviving against nature was a daily life struggle. Halla is a Finnish word and lazily translated means 'frost'. It is a phenomenon, but in Finnish mythology it is also a fairytale character that destroys the fields with its coldness. All the single and album covers draw inspiration from the works of the Finnish painter Hugo Simberg (1873-1917), whose art also inspired us in our songwriting and composition process".

Formed in 2018, i Helvete introduced themselves with the double single Pimeyden Ytimessä / Umpikuja. The Finnish outfit subsequently issued its debut full-length, Sinisten Puiden Niitty, in 2021, followed by Yksi Yhteinen Yhteiskunta in 2023. After undergoing several line-up changes in 2024, the ensemble are now preparing to launch their third studio release, Halla. Link
