France's melancholic metal project Jours Pâles has unveiled its fourth full-length, Résonances, released via Les Acteurs de L'Ombre Productions.

The project, led by Spellbound (singer of Aorlhac), emerged from the ashes of Asphodèle's sole album in 2019. With Résonances, Jours Pâles continues its exploration of deeply personal and unsettling themes.

At the heart of the record lies the anguish of separation between a father and his child. Several tracks serve as direct tributes to Spellbound's daughter, Aldérica, while the lyrical scope expands to encompass reflections on death, disillusionment with the modern world, the intensity of first encounters, and the harrowing reality of paedophilia.

Musically, the album is enriched by notable guest contributions: Kim Carlsson (Consider Suicide, Kall, ex-Lifelover) lends his distinctive vocals, S.D. Ramirez (Psychonaut 4) delivers evocative lead guitar work, and Pereg Ar Bagol (Boisson Divine, Skiltron) adds a unique dimension with diatonic accordion. Résonances stands as a raw and immersive testament to human fragility, resilience, and confrontation with life's darkest truths. Link
