Portland's synth‑punk trio Masonique had intended to release their new video for "Rearview Mirror" at the start of 2026 as an ironic nod to a year of absurdity. The sudden passing of their friend and bandmate, Keith Martinez, at the end of 2025 changed everything. The band has now dedicated the video to Keith's memory, honouring the time, talent, and spirit he brought to their world.

"Keith was an outstanding musician and visual artist, two talents he often paired with his epic video-synced solo performances."

Masonique began as a showcase for Portland-based songwriter Ron Mason Gassaway, co-founder of Party Killer and composer for the highly acclaimed Coho Theater production of The Yellow Wallpaper.

The project became a duo in 2017 when Daniel Morris (Devo Death) joined on live drums. It later expanded into a trio with Gerry Hathaway on bass (Arkham Sunset) from 2018 to 2023, before Keith Martinez (Zenitram, Jr.) stepped into the role.

Masonique released their debut full‑length, As The World Burns, in June 2024. Link
