UK dark/alternative electronic veterans Mesh have released the music video for "Hey Stranger", the latest single taken from their forthcoming full-length album The Truth Doesn’t Matter, due out on 27 March via Dependent Records.
"Hey Stranger" showcases the band’s talent for emotional tension and slow-burning intensity. According to Richard Silverthorn, the track went through several incarnations before reaching its final album form. "A song might take on many different forms before its eventual album version, as ‘Hey Stranger’ definitely has done," he explains. "It begins in a very minimalistic way and gradually builds toward its climax through a crescendo of choir and strings. Lyrically, it’s a piece many will relate to, exploring themes of change and the growing disconnection between people."
The accompanying video, directed by Kieran Gallop of GLK Media, visually amplifies the song’s emotional weight. Featuring performances by Mike Evans and Madeline Griffin, the clip mirrors the track’s introspective mood and its sense of drifting distance.
With "Hey Stranger", Mesh continues to build anticipation for The Truth Doesn’t Matter, promising an album steeped in their signature blend of melodic melancholy and electronic sophistication. Link
