Dark/gothic metal entity Mortemia has just served the tenth single/video from its impending The Covid Aftermath Sessions album. The track is entitled "Allegria" and features Capri from the band Amberian Dawn on guest vocals.
Morten Veland states: "I'm proud and honoured to welcome my friend Capri from Amberian Dawn as my special guest for The Covid Aftermath Sessions. The song that we have done together is entitled 'Allegria'. It's a song that we have written together, a ballad. Capri wrote the lyrics and I took care of the melody and compositions. I am so happy with how the song turned out, Capri wrote some beautiful lyrics and did an amazing vocal performance on the song. I first met Capri at the 70.000 tons of metal cruise a few years back, and shortly after we also toured Europe together with Sirenia and Amberian Dawn. I feel truly privileged and thankful to have Capri on board this project, and we are really looking forward to sharing this song with you all. The song will be available on all digital platforms on Friday the 13th of September 2024. We have also made a video clip for the song that will premiere on Mortemia's official Youtube channel at 18:00 hours CET, the same day".
Capri comments: "Morten and I met for the first time on the 70000tons of Metal a few years ago. Last fall, we did a European tour together and my admiration for Sirenia and Morten just got stronger. When Morten asked if I would be interested in collaboration, I was completely sold. Me? The song he composed for me is absolutely perfect for my voice. From the very first listen, the words started flooding my mind: immense sadness and longing, like the sentences of a broken person in the midst of trouble. The sound of Morten's guitar guided me to sing this song from my soul. I am very humbled and grateful".
