Portugal's doom/death metal band My Dementia will release its debut full-length, Premonição: Só Me Arrependo Do Que Não Vivi, on 8 May via Caverna Abismal Records.
The record, blending the bleak intensity of death metal with the sombre weight of doom, pushes the band's emotional core to tragic new depths. The themes explored in the lyrics, written before the album's completion, now feel hauntingly prophetic.
Shortly after finishing the album's production, guitarist and vocalist Miguel Carneiro passed away, leaving a legacy that now finds its voice in this final recording. The album is as much a testament to the band's artistic evolution as a deeply personal tribute to Miguel - immortalizing his voice, pain, and vision.
To mark the album's announcement and honour Miguel's memory one year after passing, My Dementia unveils the lead single "Gloom's Light" - a haunting journey through grief, memory, and melodic despair. Link
