The ambient synth‑doom duo My Heart, An Inverted Flame has unveiled “Whispers In Dead Languages”, the latest single from their forthcoming second album, My Death Is More Beautiful Than Your Life, soon to be released via long‑running experimental imprint Crucial Blast.

A slow‑unfolding surge of lunar heaviosity, the new album marks the project’s next descent into tectonic synth‑doom. The duo — drummer Andee Connors (A Minor Forest, Common Eider, King Eider, Aquarius Records) and synth/electronics/vocalist Marc Kate (I Am Spoonbender, P.E.E., J‑Church) — once again fuse monolithic rhythmic weight with glacial electronic dread, shaping a sound that feels both ceremonial and suffocating.

My Death Is More Beautiful Than Your Life was recorded at The Lost Room, mixed at Crowbar Corner, and mastered by James Plotkin (Khanate, Earth, Gnaw). The album’s visual identity comes courtesy of artist Andrew McLeod, whose stark imagery mirrors the record’s existential gravity.

Speaking about the new single, Marc Kate reflects on the tension between vulnerability and concealment: “When we share our most protected secrets, do we seek compassion? Confession? Absolution? Grace? Do we act in good faith, by manifesting honesty and authenticity? Or do we continually hide from ourselves and others? Thus, we muse on the futility of creating clarity through communication.”

My Death Is More Beautiful Than Your Life arrives 15 May through Crucial Blast. If you missed it, you can still revisit the previously released single “This Has Always Been The Disappearing Floor” over HERE. Link
