UK-based synth-pop/electro duo Palindrones released a new single, "Animus". The single is taken from the upcoming album, Chapter Two: The Slender Blade, which will be released on 28 March. "Animus" is the spiritual companion to "Anima" from their 2023 album, Chapter One: With Fearful Velocity.
The "Anima" and "Animus" represent the unconscious Feminine and Masculine aspects in the human psyche. The songs together represent the union of the two members of the duo, Karen and Jamie, and how their connection flows together to create the greater whole of Palindrones. "Animus" is a song about standing as one in the face of fearful odds and shining a light against the darkness.
For the accompanying video to "Animus", Palindrones invited their friends to join them in a joyful celebration of the shared human experience; "the two become the many become the one". Link
