Proletarian Poetry have unveiled their most substantial release to date: a six‑track EP titled Shouting In Despair.

Drawing on dark synthpop, EBM, darkwave, and goth, the project channels its influences into a sound that is both melodic and forceful. Lyrically, the EP reflects the turbulent realities of the present day—war, conflict, and domestic repression—captured in what the band describe as a collective "shout in despair".

The opening track, "Black Or White", is highlighted as a standout: a goth‑darkwave‑synthpop hybrid driven by strong energy, memorable melodic loops, and an instantly engaging, sing‑along chorus.

Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Proletarian Poetry fuse EBM and synthpop with socially critical lyrics that confront the warlike, dehumanised state of the modern world. The project takes a firm stance against warmongering, injustice, and the escalating threats to the planet's survival.

Their first single, "Demonize Dehumanize", arrived in February 2024. Since then, Proletarian Poetry have released three EPs comprising fifteen tracks, with a fourth instalment, Shouting In Despair, out now.

Live activity is also approaching. The debut performance will take place in Gothenburg on 21 November, where the band will share the stage with Turkish darkwave act Ductape. Link
