Indonesian post-punk/new wave re:NAN just released via Haum Entertainment a new EP titled Lost Consciousness, Pt.2. In 2023 re:NAN released their first EP Leaving Depression which marked their mood shifting from gloomy post-punk to uplifting new wave/synth pop. Now, re:NAN is back with a sophomore EP Lost Consciousness, Pt. 2 that is a continuation from their 2021 single "Lost Consciousness".
This second EP signalled a new matured perspective on depression and quarter-life crisis. Even though re:NAN claims to have left behind the depressive feel of the previous EP, it turns out there are still unresolved issues related to it. The 2021 single "Lost Consciousness, Pt. 1" was marked as a start of re:NAN's journey as a post-punk/new wave band and finally, they continued it this year in the form of a sequel EP, Lost Consciousness, Pt. 2.
re:NAN as a group believes that every human being must go through the life phase of reaching the age of 25 years, and at that age, humans have different personalities, because of the feelings, experiences, education and environment that have influenced them. Link
