The USA-based darkwave band Reviser has unveiled a new single, "Darksiders".

"'Darksiders' is an energizing anthem for those who appreciate and live by the values of being 'outsiders'. It's a song for empowering those who don't abide by the expectations of traditional norms. It's a soundtrack to this moment in history, in time and space, encouraging us to be the 'outsiders who guide the way' with our independent, creative, and full hearts. Be an example. This moment needs you."

"Darksiders" lives precisely where you'd expect Reviser to place it: part goth-rock guitars, part dark wave synths and beats, all atmosphere and groove. "Darksiders" is released at a special moment,  as this month's super-full moon lights up the sky.

Reviser came to be in the Winter of 2023. Helmed by baritone guitarist and vocalist Krysztof Nemeth (R.I.P. Kansas City's post-punk/shoegaze stalwarts Emmaline Twist) and partnering with Dedric Moore on second guitar (musical collaborator in Kansas City's electro-dance outfit religion of Heartbreak), Krysztof began producing songs that combine big post-punk riffs and shoegaze atmosphere with dark keyboard textures and forceful drum machines. Calling to mind classic 80s bands such as The Sisters Of Mercy, The Cure, and Killing Joke, Reviser sounds complimentary to such contemporaries as Actors, Traitrs, and Drab Majesty. Reviser collects and redirects its familiar influences into something familiar and foreign, a sound that is dark, deep, and danceable. Link
