Greek black metal band Riverflame have confirmed 24 April as the release date for their striking debut album, Lunar Crusades. The record will be issued by code666 on both CD and vinyl, and the first track, "Riverflame", is already available to hear.

Formed in 2024 by members of Hail Spirit Noir, Ponte Del Diavolo, and OWLS, Riverflame spent two years crafting and recording their first full‑length. Lunar Crusades presents a journey through epic medieval black metal atmospheres enriched with neoclassical arrangements. Channelling the spirit of Stormkeep, Summoning, and Dissection, the band forge a sound that is at once nostalgic and visionary. The result is a sweeping, cinematic work steeped in grandeur, darkness, and heroism.

The album was mixed and mastered by Dimitris Douvras (Rotting Christ, Hail Spirit Noir), while the cover artwork features a painting by Mars Triumph (Manowar, Triumpher).

Speaking about their signing to code666, Riverflame commented: "Lunar Crusades is scheduled for release via code666, a trustworthy label that most of the members of the band have worked with in the past. The band is very happy for the signing and believes the new album marks another solid addition to the label's high-quality catalogue". Link
