Finnish dystopian gothic rock duo Order has released its powerful new single, "Into The Silence", an emotionally charged composition that seamlessly blends darkness and hope. Continuing the sonic path the band has meticulously forged, the track envelops listeners in a captivating atmosphere where brooding electronics, melancholic melodies, and cinematic intensity coexist in perfect harmony.
As with much of Order's work, "Into The Silence" explores profound emotional and existential themes. Vocalist Daniel Tähkä explains: "Like Order's songs generally, this track deals with big questions. Sometimes it's difficult to recognise your own feelings, let alone put them into words. When your thoughts keep going round in circles and your mind retreats deeper and deeper into a dark place, finding a way out can be difficult. Sometimes, our own strength or abilities aren't enough to work through things alone. One of the hardest things is admitting your vulnerability and allowing yourself to need help. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Quite the opposite."
Since their formation, Daniel Tähkä and Saku Solin, also known for his work with industrial metal outfit Turmion Kätilöt, have built a distinctive artistic identity defined by evocative storytelling, striking mental imagery, and cinematic soundscapes. With "Into The Silence", the duo further expands that vision through an accompanying official music video that was entirely conceived and produced in-house.
The visually compelling clip was written, filmed, edited, directed, and produced by the band themselves, reflecting their commitment to a fully immersive creative expression.
Commenting on the project's visual dimension, Saku Solin states: "When we were discussing the music video for 'Into The Silence', Daniel came up with the bold idea of making it ourselves. We were also drawn to the idea of expanding our creative work beyond music and getting hands-on with the visual side of things. The video took a lot of work and effort, as all great things do, but the end result speaks for itself."
With "Into The Silence", Order once again demonstrates its ability to transform deeply personal struggles into a compelling artistic experience, offering listeners both solace and strength within its darkly beautiful sonic landscape. Link
