Sweedish Sister is back with a vengeance, finally unleashing the first single from its highly anticipated new album, this time under the band's new record label, Icons Creating Evil Art.
First out from the album is the title track, "The Way We Fall", which is the ultimate tease of what's to expect. Louder, heavier and angrier than ever before.
Sister on "The Way We Fall": "This last-minute title perfectly captures the overarching theme of the album, showcasing a heavier and darker side of the band. 'The Way We Fall' describes exactly where Sister is today: heavy, raw, and straightforward, yet still thoughtful and profound. This is truly the sound we have been searching for, and this dystopian anthem is all about that final moment when you're standing at a crossroads, choosing to put it all on red..."
Sister started to take shape in 2006 and unleashed its debut EP, Deadboys Making Noise, in 2009, while the band's latest (fourth) full-length, Vengeance Ignited, dropped in 2021. However, the excitement was tempered by frustration as the pandemic threw a wrench in its touring plans. But there was a silver lining! In January 2022, HBO featured Sister's track "Would You Love A Creature" in its DC Comics series Peacemaker, giving the band's streaming numbers a massive boost and putting it firmly on the map in the U.S. rock scene. Once the album is released, the band plans to hit the road as much as possible. Stay tuned! Link
