South African–born, now US‑based gothic rock institution The Awakening has unveiled the video for “Your Vampire”, the fourth visual chapter from their self‑titled 12th studio album, released in October 2024 via Intervention Arts. The new clip follows the success of “Mirror Midnight”, “Haunting” and “Through The Veil”, all of which have collectively drawn millions of views and reaffirmed the band’s enduring presence in the dark music landscape.
Frontman Ashton Nyte describes the track as one of the album’s emotional pillars: “‘Your Vampire’ is a love song. It is a song about passion, devotion and commitment, despite the challenges we face or the limitations of life itself. It is also my wife’s favourite song from the album, so I thought a video was in order.”
The release arrives just as The Awakening prepares to launch their Dark Carnival Tour 2026, beginning with nine UK dates across March and April. The tour promises a broader sonic palette than last year’s Haunting Tour, weaving in acoustic textures, electronic layers and more experimental elements. This evolution highlights the band’s artistic range and the charismatic versatility that has long earned Nyte comparisons to “Johannesburg’s Bowie” in the press.
Joining them on the road will be UK dark rock outfit Black Lakes, with additional special guests appearing at select stops. Link
