The USA-based darkwave duo The Bleak Assembly returns with its new album until the world stops hurting.
While this new album isn't a dramatic departure from the gothic/darkwave/post-punk sound of previous releases from The Bleak Assembly, there's a power and focus on this new album that maybe hadn't been there before. Kimberly's voice has always been strong, but she sounds like an absolute Valkyrie on this release.
until the world stops hurting continues to feature dark subject matter but this new album also sees lyrical references to light and the Sun. The Bleak Assembly's vocalist and lyricist Kimberly says: "I have always come from a dark place especially with my lyrics because that's where I put all my pain -- into the music. It's my release. Whenever you have total darkness there must be some form of light. It's lyrically on so many various levels all about love which I think is the answer to the title of the album until the world stops hurting". Link
