Polish post-black metal/shoegaze project Viamaer introduces its first single, “In Excitatione Terrae”, taken from the upcoming debut album In Lumine Lunae, set for release on 29 January 2026.

Born out of silence and introspection, Viamaer is less a band than a vessel for unspoken states of being. Behind it stands Krystian Jurkiewicz, who uses sound as a language beyond words—where tension, fear, calm, and fragility find shape in melody, contrast, and silence.

Guided by the credo “Musica vitae meae pars est, affectus autem ea sunt quae narro” (“Music is part of my life, emotions are what I narrate”), Jurkiewicz frames Viamaer as a deeply personal yet universal exploration. On the album, he adds: “Inter sonos animam tuam reperies” (“Among the sounds, you will find your soul”).

Crafted over two years, In Lumine Lunae is not a mere collection of songs but a sequence of states. Polish lyrics weave intimate narratives, while Latin titles open the work to symbolic depth. The result is an emotional, raw, and spacious journey through blackgaze, post-black metal, and shoegaze.

All music was composed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jurkiewicz himself, with cover artwork by Piotr Pryk.

Viamaer does not seek universality—it speaks to those who listen with their soul. In Lumine Lunae promises to be a debut of rare honesty, where silence and sound converge into something profoundly human. Link
