Zythaex, a newly formed avant-garde/atmospheric black metal project, has released its debut one-track album - Devouring Principle.
Forged through a Hungarian/Icelandic long-distance collaboration of two good friends, JTS (Iceland, instruments) and BÁL (Hungary, vocals), who met online, this work carries the fiery restlessness of Hekla and the shadowed depth of the Carpathians.
As eldritch forces beyond all comprehension stir in the void, stars collapse, dreams are swallowed, and galaxies drift toward oblivion.
What follows is a meditation on existence as a process of erasure. It follows the unravelling of thought, the fading of memory, and the slow extinguishing of light until silence becomes the only remaining truth.
Birth is the first shadow of the grave, life itself is the seed of its own undoing, and the self is a fragile pattern ever dissolving. Time is the quiet hunger that draws everything back into nothing, the path to dissolution, and all things must walk it. Link
