Urku Llanthu is a solo musical project of Pablo Mesías aka. Atuk Urku Llanthu, originating in Quito, Ecuador. Urku Llanthu alias Mountain Shadow in the ancestral Quechua dialect was formed in 2018, while its self-titled album of eight tracks was released in November 2020 in CD-format via Pablo Mesías independent production Takiri Producciones Independiente.

Urku Llanthu music atmosphere embodies the spirit of great Andean mountains and at the same time aims to preserve that ancestral language "Quechua" - typical of many indigenous people. Atuk Urku Llanthu music is home in dark ambient, dungeon synth and folk metal genre, in an instrumental environment, in which his feelings and thinking get expressed most genuinely.


Although the Urku Llanthu musical project is brand new, Pablo Mesías musical path dates back to 1998. He was a vocalist of several bands from Quito, Ecuador: Acracia, Nekropsia, Blasfemo and at last Alkitran, from 2016 to 2018 when the idea for Urku Llanthu solo musical project was born.

Everything related to Urku Llanthu, editing, production, artworks, broadcasting in audio and video, was done by Pablo Mesías through his Takiri Producciones Independiente. Besides being a musician, Pablo Mesías is also a tattoo artist and passionate biker.
