CALLING ALL ASTRONAUTS - Returning To The Roots With A New Single

London (UK) based electro/goth punks Calling All Astronauts have released a new video for the single named "Divided States Of America". The single will be officially released on 18th September via Supersonic Media. With this single Calling All Astronauts, even though maintaining the characteristic dark electro/goth vibe, they return to their punk-rap roots.

Reminiscent of their early incarnation as the seminal US:UK, more years ago than they care to remember the trio played with the likes of Faith No More, PWEI, 24/7 Spyz, headlined London's Astoria as an unsigned band, sold out Camden Palace and The Marquee, a lot has happened to them since then. Guitarist J has toured Europe and the US extensively as a member of pop-punkers Caffeine, sharing stages with The Offspring, Blink 182, AFI, Rancid, bassist Paul joined goth stalwarts The Marionettes headlining festivals and playing shows throughout Europe and singer David taught himself to be a record producer. Before they all teamed up again as Calling All Astronauts, now on their third album and nineteenth single they have now gone full circle as sneering punk meets rap and metal for "Divided States Of America".

The track also sees David's three year old daughter Daisy make her musical debut, Alan Branch (Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, U2) was mixing the track and asked David to record a straight version of the chorus for the end, Daisy heard daddy doing the lines over and over and proceeded to run round the studio singing the chorus, a mic was quickly handed to her and the rest is history.
