NOCTIFERIA - Announces New Guitarist And Share More News About Upcoming Release

Slovenian legendary extreme industrial metallers Noctiferia have announced that after the departure with their long-time guitarist Roman Fileš, they have now a new member in their ranks. A new Noctiferia guitarist is Andrej Blatnik, known in the Slovenian metal underground also as a member of the band Ambra.

Noctiferia comments: "Please welcome our new band member Andrej Blatnik! Andrej will be taking over guitar duties as Roman has decided it is time for him to move on towards new adventures in his life and we wish him all the best on his path! Andrej has already performed with us on two shows in France in 2017, we believe his attitude and craftsmanship will be a big contribution to the band! And check out Andrej's other band Ambra."

In other news, the highly anticipated new album, Reforma – Tribute To Laibach, was mixed and mastered by Henrik Udd. The album is featured by three special guests: David Vincent (Vltimas, ex-Morbid Angel), Attila Csihar (Mayhem) and Jorgen Munkeby (Shining). The album cover and layout was created by Valnoir of Metastazis.

Ljubljana's underground legends Noctiferia, since the beginning (1997) have been spreading their unique style of the Slovenian extreme metal movement. Few could predict what the band and its members would mean for the whole scene in the years to come. Today, just as it sometimes seems that the artists have drained all genres of originality and that all the new musical styles have already been discovered, here comes Noctiferia, bringing something fresh, a style that is uniquely theirs. Noctiferia have toured Europe and UK with bands like In Flames, Hypocrisy, Mayhem, Samael, Marduk,... Toured China couple of times so far and performed at various European festivals (at Wacken Open Air in 2015 as the first Slovenian band ever).

This February Noctiferia were invited to perform the song "Holymen" (from 2016 Transnatura album, unplugged version) at national Opera house in Ljubljana with RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and dancers. A unique performance video is posted now online, in case you missed it, watch it in the player below. Extended symphonic arrangements were written by Matija Krečič and conducted by Patrik Greblo. Link
