Los Angeles (USA) based dark synth-riot artist Violent Vickie, who released her sophomore album titled Division in the beginning of September, has unleashed now a new music video for the song "Under The Gun". The video was directed and edited by Nick Pagonakis of Underboss Films and shot in a parking lot in Long Beach, CA by Jennifer Miller. The song is a seductively cold reaction to the pressure to conform and produce in a capitalist society.
Artists that influenced Violent Vickie's noisy, menacing and chaotic music, featuring walls of unspecified grit and lilting vocals that beckon the ear like a siren song range from dark electronic artists like Gesaffelstein, Crystal Castles, and Adult., post-punk bands like Sonic Youth and The Numbers and riot girl bands like Sleater Kinney and Le Tigre.
