Austrian sonic alchemists Gjoad premiered online the new track named "Peraht". The track is the first to be revealed from the band's debut album, Samanōn, set for international release on 15th December via Antiq Label. Gjoad play an intriguing mix of atmospheric rock and post-black metal.
Gjoad is playing atmospheric rock highly influenced by the magestic visions of their native alpine landscapes. From their major influence of black metal, only stays the impressive atmospheres and film-worthy build-ups. Next to guitars and drums, the band also experiments with instruments like jaw harps, singing bowls, horns, and bells to create new atmospheres.
Samanōn is an album marked by the will to give birth in the listener's mind to a sparkle of magic. Then to breathe on it, make the fire grow and spread, enlighten and burn the whole soul with the fire of ancient creeds and legends, and then let the fire come down gently, watch the embers live and glow in the dark. Through huge build-ups brought to life by the band, the listener is invited to undertake this initiatic journey. Listen to "Peraht" in the player below. Link
