Norwegian post-punk band Duvel have just revealed a new music video for the leading single "Hong Kong Sex Toy Store" off their as-of-yet unnamed sophomore effort. Video was directed by Andrea Sitara Gran, and filmed by Karoline Sødal, and you can watch it right here.
Vocalist Jack Holldorff elaborates on the single: "I nicked the song-title off a sign I saw in Hong Kong. I was there a couple of months before the riots began. I made up the lyrics for the chorus while I was at this awful rooftop-bar. The drinks and clothes up there were way too expensive for me, and I remember thinking that the fastest route down would probably be over the little fence right on the edge. I chose the elevator. When I got back to Oslo I linked up with Zakka. We smoked a fatty and worked out the bass and guitar. Also, it was the first song that we did with Morten Øby. I think you can hear that we're sort of feeling each other out."
Recorded and produced by Morten Øby and Duvel, mixed by Morten Øby, the new album is expected to be released in early 2021 via Fysisk Format. Link
