FORTÍÐ - Releases Another New Video For The Track From Upcoming Album

Icelandic pagan/black metallers Fortíð have unleashed a brand new video for the elegic track "Son Of A Barren Land" as the third single taken from the forthcoming highly acclaimed sixth album, World Serpent, which has been scheduled for release on 11th December via Prophecy Productions.

Fortíð comment: "Our song "Son Of A Barren Land" deals with the shadow that follows you through the journey of life", reveals mastermind Einar Eldur Thorberg. "It is always there although it may lie dormant. Whoever you are and whatever your status in society may be, you cannot escape that inner darkness. You can leave everyone and everything you know behind and start a new life elsewhere, but you can never escape yourself. Therefore it is best to come to terms with your inner darkness and your sorrows. They are a part of you. These lyrics are obviously more personal level than on most other tracks of World Serpent, but nevertheless they apply universally."

Fortíð have artistically captured such a cataclysmic turning point with their sixth full-length World Serpent by creating an album that essentially consists of two halves of five songs each. Although both parts have diverging musical visions and even different line-ups, they complement each other rather than to constitute two separate entities.
