Connecticut (USA) based doom/gothic/post metal act Crawl Below will release on 12th February as a self-release a new album entitled 9 Mile Square. This six-song record of mostly doom infused post-metal is focused on the history of Eastern Connecticut. The album was mixed by Dave Kaminsky at Studio Wormwood, and was mastered by Ryan Williams at Augmented Audio.
Crawl Below started in 2017 as a one-man project of Charlie Sad Eyes and is focused primarly on his New England origins. His releases have ranged from punk-tinged black metal to Lovecraftian acoustic folk. The newest release, 9 Mile Square, is based on the history and legends of Norwich, Connecticut, expressed through post-metal. Crawl Below is not limited in style and expresses its surroundings in a multitude of genres, changing from album to album. Music on 9 Mile Square will in the first place appeal to fans of Type O Negative, Woods Of Ypres, The Cure and Katatonia.
Charlie Sad Eyes is also in When The Deadbolt Breaks, Sentinel Hill, Holding On To Nothing and Banth. Listen now to the first revealed track, "Kingdom Of The Ruined", from Crawl Below's upcoming album 9 Mile Square in the player below. Link
