MAESTITIUM - Debut EP Out Now And Available For Streaming In Full

From the north of Sweden comes a new dark entity, Maestitium, a melodic black/death metal band formed by Elias Westrin, and now the debut EP, Tale Of The Endless, is out via Black Lion Records. Tale Of The Endless is telling the story of three people with troubled and dark minds, full of anger, despair and sorrow. With inspiration from bands like Insomnium, Hinayana and Wolfheart, it brings epic melodies, blasting drums and a handful of the atmosphere.

It's composed/recorded by Elias Westrin (guitars, vocals, synths, orchestrations) and is mixed/mastered by Robin Leijon. Tale Of The Endless features studio musicians like Nils Fjellström aka Dominator' (Nordjevel, Myrkskog, Odium, ex-Dark Funeral, Aeon) on drums and Anton Flodin (Deathbreed) on bass. The entire EP can be heard in the player below.

Elias Westrin comments: "Tale Of The Endless represents musically what I as a songwriter seek - melancholy, intense drums, epic leads and atmospheric synth pads. The lyrics deliver my own personal experiences with a fantastical and dramatic twist; tales all about broken minds and agonised souls. It was a painful album to compose, as I had to dig deep within my own mind to find the source material. The EP represents me, my experiences (albeit exaggerated in the songs) and my darkest hours. The many sleepless nights filled with anxiety almost lead to me scrapping it altogether, but I stuck with it, and I am immensely happy that I did." Link
