Netherlands ethereal/neo-classical/ambient act Aythis, a solo project of Carline Van Roos, also known for her work in Lethian Dreams and Remembrance, will release a new album titled Secrets From Below on 2nd April, and has now revealed the second single and music video "Secrets".
Carline comments on the video: "The song talks about the mysteries of the world and what it evokes in you on a personal level. This is a recurrent theme in the new album as I've always been intrigued by unexplained phenomena. In these difficult times, I think it's even more important to be remembered for the beauty and the mysteries of nature. The video is self-made, it is surely not perfect but I'm really happy about how it turned out. I think it represents the song really well."
Secrets From Below will take the listener to hidden places, underneath the surface of the earth and into the desolated forest, the above, the below. Sonically, the guitars are more present, giving at the time a shoegaze/post-rock feeling and a melancholy that would appeal to any fan of dark ethereal music.
