RUPTURED WORLD - New Album Out Next Week, Two Tracks Available For Streaming

A very productive cinematic dark ambient project of Alistair Rennie (UK), Ruptured World, is about to release a new album titled Shore Rituals on 23rd March via Cryo Chamber. The follow up to the last year in June released Interplanetary, diverges from the Planetary series to bring us this vivid exploration of the northerly coasts. Shore Rituals contemplates the enigmas of the sea and brings a world of oceanic mysteries to the threshold of our understanding.

"For centuries, the shore dwellers have practised their rituals in appeasement of the eldritch legions of the deep. The gods of tempests are summoned to stay their wrath. The gods of precious boons are petitioned to provide fish and plunder for the tribal enclaves. The gods of the shimmering tides are beckoned for the gifts they proffer of golden glistening."

The man behind Ruptured World, Alistair Rennie, is a veteran climber of numerous hills and mountains in the Western Highlands, the Cairngorms and the Italian Dolomites. Rennie is also the author of the novel BleakWarrior and has published fantasy and horror fiction, essays and poetry in The New Weird anthology, Weird Tales magazine, Electric Velocipede, Mythic Delirium, Pevnost, Weird Fiction Review, DOA III and more. The new Ruptured World album, Shore Rituals, was mastered by Simon Heath (Atrium Carceri, Sabled Sun), as well he did the artwork. Two tracks, "The Merman" and "Black Tides Harken To The Summons Of Eons", are now available for streaming and you can hear them below. Link
