Northern Irish death/doom trio The Crawling has announced details of a new single, "Sparrow," due for release via Grindscene Records on 2 April. Formed in the winter of 2014 in Lisburn city, Northern Ireland, The Crawling use a guttural vocal to combine melancholy with weight, churning out a heavy, doom/death ensemble. So far the band released a single "Choking On Concrete" (2015), an EP In Light of Dark Days (2015) and two albums: Anatomy Of Loss (2017) and Wolves And The Hideous White (2018). With live music on hold, gatherings being kept to a minimum, and rehearsals being limited, The Crawling concentrated efforts on their most depressive track to date - "Sparrow," coupled with an interpretation of the Björk track "Play Dead."
