A year after the release of the band's last single, Cubüs is back to pay homage to one of their greatest influences New Order by re-recording "1963". The new single will be released on 26 March, by Paranoia Musique, on all digital platforms. Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) based representative of the synthpop/darkwave scene Cubüs returns with this new single that will be part of an EP (which is in the process of being recorded) with re-recordings of several artists who helped to shape the analogue and distorted sound of the duo, formed by Diego de Oliveira and Karlos Junior.
The band has several releases which include albums, EPs and two compilations and their energetic performances have guaranteed space in alternative festivals, where they played alongside legendary Brazilian post-punk bands such as As Mercenárias and Picassos Falsos. Founded in 2003, Cubüs is an electronic manifest, a protest against manufactured music and common sense that flood the radio. Watch the "1963" single in the player below. Link
